Frequently Asked Questions
These questions might have been asked frequently if I hadn't answered them here ;-)
Why does this site exist?
Because I wanted it.
Over the years, I've collected essays that made me think deeply - some long, some short, but all impactful. I stored these in my digital vault and shared them on my personal site. As more people asked me about these essays and where to find similar content, I realized there might be others who are also seeking thoughtful reading material that sparks reflection.
That's how Read2Reflect was born - a simple way to discover essays that make you pause, think, and reflect. It's not about quick consumption of content, but about finding pieces that stay with you and potentially change how you think about things.
Click a button, discover an essay, and take time to reflect on it. In our fast-paced world, sometimes we need to slow down and think deeply about what we read.
What are the sources?
I collect thought-provoking essays from various sources across the internet:
- Hacker News - a great source of in-depth technical and philosophical discussions
- Dense Discovery newsletter - curated content focused on design, technology, and sustainability
- Thinking About Things newsletter - curated content focused on broad range of topics from psychology to investing to philosophy to geopolitics.
- The Browser newsletter - curated content from the Internet.
- Browser explorations - serendipitous discoveries while reading other essays
- Personal recommendations from readers and friends
The essays are carefully selected based on their ability to provoke thought and reflection. If you know of an essay that made you think deeply, feel free to suggest it.
Broken links or issues
The internet is dynamic - essays might move to new locations, websites might go offline, or links might break over time. While I regularly check for broken links, some might slip through.
If you encounter a broken link or any other issues, please email me with the URL of the essay. This helps maintain the quality of our collection and ensures everyone can access these thought-provoking pieces. And if you do, thank you.
